Absorber Baffle

Overview

Sound can either be absorbed, reflected or diffused. In many rooms, flat reflective surfaces can cause interfering reflections and excessive reverberation, which corrupts music quality, speech clarity and general hearing comfort. One approach to controlling these reflections and excess reverberation time is to use absorptive panels. RPG have developed a simple and cheap method of fixing these panels which allows easy mounting and de-mounting of Absorber Baffles.

The fabric wrapped, fiberglass acoustical panel is the work horse of the industry, providing the most economical solution for general reflection and reverberation control to provide functionality for a wide variety of applications. The Absorber Baffle is a rigid fibreglass board with hardened, square or shaped edges. Select from 25 mm, 50 mm, 75 mm and 100 mm thicknesses and up to 120 mm wide by 240 mm high panel sizes.

We also can offer the Absorber Baffle in 2 new configurations, Double Sided Acoustic Baffle and Single Baffle.

Absorber Baffle

RPG Europe also can offer the Absorbor in 2 new configurations, Double Sided Acoustic Baffle and Single Baffle.

Double Sided Acoustic Baffles are available in 1200×300, 1200×400, 1200×600, 1800×600, 1800×1200 and 2400×600, 2400×1200, with 25 or 50mm thickness.  All Baffles are suspended by wire.

Single Baffles are melamine foam panels on a standard fiberglass part. This gives a pleasing, soft feel which is in contrast to the usual harder feel of a standard Absorbor

Problem

Absorptive panels are used extensively in acoustical design to control noise, sound reflections and excess reverberation. In this product category, quality and ease of mounting are often problematic.

All Baffles are supplied fully wrapped with fabric front, sides and rear. The reinforced edge detail provides a crisp edge detail and tidy butt joints.

Absorber Baffle can be easily and quickly hung on any ceiling surface using a cloud anchor kit. 

Absorbor™ Panels can be easily and quickly hung on any wall surface using RPG’s Impalit™ clip. For ceiling applications, the panels can be either direct mounted with Z-bar attachments or suspended using a cloud anchor kit. Panels can also be configured to install in a standard T-bar grid.
